Sepoy Rebellion Against Imperialist Hounds! By: Julio Chen
Year: 1857 The Sepoys rebelled against the Imperialist hound, Britain. Britain interferes with India's way of life and culture. The British government has tried to abolish the caste system and the traditions such as the sati, which a widowed woman kills herself after her husband dies. They give Indian soldiers that work for the East India Company cartridges containing cow and pig fat which they have to break open with their teeth and send Indian troops over-seas. This is against the Hindu religion to travel over-seas and to taste cow and pig. Christian missionaries convert Indians to the wretched religion called Christianity. These British scoundrels cannot tell us what to do or believe in. There is hatred in the air, and the inevitable rebellion began. The native Indian soldiers or known as sepoys, took upon the Hindu's burden and battled the Britain dogs. The rebellion broke out in Meerut, after the sepoys refused to use their new cartridges and sent to jail. The other sepoys freed the arrested sepoys and went on a massacre to kill any European officers. They headed to the Dehli where they were joined by more Indians. Bahadur Shah, who was the former emperor, became the leader of this group reluctantly. The sepoys killed every European and Christian in this city. The British responded and attacked the sepoys.

Ridiculous! This is just insanity! Not a crook ‘n nanny left for us!
The British think they can just barge into our land take over it?!
Sure, they have about half the world but, that doesn’t mean we’re not our own independent world with living, real traditional people here. We Indians are not children that need to be taught again. I’m not interested in western culture at all. People were happy, and now my family is in stress figuring out which side to choose. Why even change the “Indian life”? For centuries, we’ve been Hindus and Muslims, now forced to change to Christianity?
Our ancient traditions and morals have kept India happy. The British want to take off the caste system. That means those who were reincartinated into the Untouchables will be equal to the Brahmans! It’s a murderer next to the hero!
How much more offensive is it that they bring in new technology that offends our kind? Let’s take for example the new rifles; it uses a certain type of cartridge that requires the solider to bite off the top to reload. These cartridges are COVERED in animal fat. To Hindus, the cow is sacred and to Muslims, pigs are dirty and forbidden. If a solider refused to use their weapon, they’d be sent home without pay and in disgrace.
If you ask me, this is rather harsh treatment. If you’re Hindu or Muslim, can you imagine someone eating something of the cow or pig? I didn’t think it was very pleasing either.
The next thing you know, my children will be off praying to the cross and eating beef while my mother cries for the “Devis” of the peaceful, happy animals that never destroyed anything.
Wooh! I see this is a hot topic.
